Public Advocate should be an “Accomplished Civil Rights Lawyer &

Coalition Builder” - 79.8%


Public Advocate should be the people’s lawyer, organizer & voice - 82.8%


NYC headed in the wrong direction - 61.2% ….  

A woman should be elected to at least one citywide office - 57.8%...

“If you want something done, give it to a busy woman.” - 55.2%.



May 13, 2025 - A citywide poll conducted by United New Yorkers for Progress, consisting of landline calls and text messages linking to an online survey, yielded 1,996 respondents from May 7th - May 11th. United New Yorkers for Progress is an Independent Expenditure Committee supporting the candidacy of Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar for New York City Public Advocate. Poll respondents are likely Democratic voters, defined as Democrats who have voted in 2 out 4 recent Democratic primaries, excluding presidential primaries


“The results of this extensive poll are very encouraging and show a clear winning path forward for Assemblywoman Rajkumar,” said Michael Tobman, who is heading up the IE. “We wanted a very large sample testing the qualifications and personalities of the candidates in this race so as to better understand this complicated moment in New York City government and politics,” Tobman added. 


The margin of error for this poll is 2.24%.

Jumanne Williams is the incumbent NYC Public Advocate. Democratic Queens Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar is challenging him for this important citywide office in the upcoming June Democratic Primary. Jumaane Williams is a former City Councilman who has run for both Governor and Lieutenant Governor. Jenifer Rajkumar is a Civil Rights Lawyer who has authored laws to protect domestic workers, provide the city with the authority to close illegal weed shops, and to implement important environmental regulations.  If the election for NYC Public Advocate were held today, who would you vote for?
